My little bro's a bunny?!

While this was technically a request in the sense that this is something he asked me to draw, it's more of a gift since I asked him if he would like a picture from me. I did this for several reasons but mainly because he is such a good friend despite us not knowing each other for very long despite him going through so much irl, which I won't go into detail with. And this is going to be where my part of the description ends because the explanation for this picture is actually from him.


It was a beautiful day in the Mushroom Kingdom where everything seemed perfect; not a cloud in the sky. However, Professor E. Gadd wasn't there to see it. He was busy working his rear off in order to upgrade the Poltergust for the next [inevitable] adventure to fight against King Boo. It was when the professor made a miscalculation in his work causing the thing to explode and almost kill him in the process, that the professor had a realization that he was mortal and was going to die one day soon. He then in an instant went into a mid-life... wait, he's past mid-life... how about 3/4 life crisis. He then decided to sign up to do something weird and random using a very sophisticated technique (throwing darts at pieces of paper on the wall while blindfolded) and ended up signing up as a magician at a birthday party for Toad's son.

The professor got to work and put together all of his stuff, but realized just before the show that he was missing the most important thing for a magician to have in order to pull off a trick: A rabbit to pull out of a hat. E. Gadd realized that a real rabbit would be too much work to take care of, and a wild one wouldn't be able to be trained in time, so one would have to be "synthetically" created. In about five minutes, a new creation called "the bun gun" was created that had the ability to turn a human into a bunny. Now that that was all squared away, all the professor needed was a victi- I mean test subje- I mean volunteer! And there was only one man for the job. So with about one hour before the party, E. Gadd set out for Luigi's house. When he arrived, the professor quickly asked Luigi to help. And by ask, I mean he promptly shot Luigi with the bun gun before he could say anything. Some bloody fingers and angry chattering noises later, the professor successfully picked up a very peeved Luigi and swept them away to the castle for the show.

The show went well and Luigi got into his role pretty well and was a hit amongst the kids. The show was in the toad's garden and Mario decided to come in and watch, and was very impressed by the performance of the bunny and after the show asked the professor how he trained the thing so well. Not wanting to lie, the professor admitted that he turned Luigi into a rabbit and used him as his assistant. Mario was a bit surprised (but saw the rabbit's slight resemblance to Luigi), but not too angry, so he asked the professor to change Luigi back. It was then and there that E. Gadd realized in his haste to create the bun gun, he never created a reversal. Good luck explaining to the bros that Luigi is stuck as a small and fluffy bucktoothed carrot eater for now.
